Are You Depressed? Someone Always Has It Worse

By now most of the Internet is aware of 90dayjane, and the week long drama we had surrounding her blog.

If you’re just now stumbling on the topic, I’ll direct you to some posts to help you to get updated on what just happened.

  • Who 90 Day Jane Really Is
  • It has brought the subject of depression to the forefront of more people’s minds, and some worry that readers of the 90dayjane blog might now be more inclined to act upon any negative thoughts or feelings they might have already been having.

A couple of the things that has always helped me through troubling times in life, has been to remember:

    1. This, too, shall pass.
    2. Someone always has it worse. I can do this.

I found a video today of someone who I feel ‘has it worse’. I’ll put it below. Imagine this person to have made it as far as they have to get to the point they are in this video.

    1. Wow, amazing video, Diss. What strength of character it exhibits, and how satisfying it must be to help such a person.

    2. Hi Muse! Yes, I had the same thoughts. I thought also “wow…just wow… you are so my hero right now!” I’m not sure I have that kind of strength that he has. We never know what we’re capable of though, until we’re tested, then we find out just how strong we can be at times. But wow, just wow.

    3. That’s incredible! I honestly fear I wouldn’t be strong enough to care for someone like that. I’m ashamed to admit it but I just don’t think I could do it. I guess if you have to though you have to. That is someone’s child after all.

That just breaks my heart that someone has to go through life like that. It is worth remeembering the next time we think we’ve got it rough.

    4. I’ll bet if you loved them, you could. If it were your son? Yes, you could do it.
