Patrick van der Eem met Joran van der Sloot at a poker table in Arnhem during a tournament. He jokingly called him ‘Maton’, Pidgin for murderer. He pretended to be his friend, and won his trust.

In November Patrick van der Eem’s vehicle was equipped for taping and a track and tracer system. Peter de Vries and team could not only listen inside the vehicle, but follow them anywhere.

Patrick: “Why would he do that for you?”
Joran:  “I know him, have known him for years, he had a boat… I’ll never name his name.”
Joran claims that Natalee died in his arms, spontaneously, she looked normal.
Patrick: “This guy, that helped you. He’s gold.”
Joran: “I’m going to help him financially.”
Patrick: “You didn’t know she was a friend of the Bushes.”
Joran: “Yeah, those fuckers, she told me she was rich, but that I didn’t know.”
Joran: “Of the two people here (Holland) you and him (accomplice with boat) are the only ones I trust.”
Patrick: ”Aren’t you scared he’ll rat you out?”
Joran: “I’ve got something on him as well.”
Joran: “He offered, I didn’t ask him. He didn’t know how big it was going to get.”
Patrick: “And…”
Joran: “They haven’t even questioned him.”
Patrick: “How old is he? Your age?”
Joran: “No, 25.”
Patrick: “How did he do it?”
Joran: “I don’t know, he did it all.”
Patrick: “What is his name?”
Joran: “Daury.”
Patrick: “Daury What?”
Joran: “Daury ***” (beeped)
Joran: “I wanted to take her to her hotel. But she wanted to see sharks, man, I shit you not.”
Patrick: “So those guys (Kalpoe Brothers) dropped you off?”
Joran: “So we were on the beach, I’m kissing her, fingering her, she’s in my pants, then she starts shaking, foam on her mouth.”
Patrick: “Like an epileptic attack?”
Joran: “I don’t know…maybe.”
Patrick: “And then you called…what’s his name?”
Joran: “Daury yeah…He showed up after I called him.”
Patrick: “Did you try to..?”
Joran: “Yeah, I tried everything. He showed up and… everything was fucked. He told me he could help. I knew he had a boat nearby, he works for one of those banana guys. So we carried her to his boat, and I went home. I dumped the shoes. He told me to just go to school the next day.”
Patrick: “And you called him later.”
Joran: “Yeah, we were both nervous, he said he just tipped her over the side.”
Patrick: “And the Kalpoes?”
Joran: “Yeah, I fucked them a bit. I got them to say they dropped us off. But I never told them shit.”
Patrick: “So you were fingering her… and?”
Joran: “Yeah, I wanted her to give me a blowjob. And then she just died…man.”

Joran speaks about Deepak and Satish Kalpoe being innocent, worth nothing, and getting them to lie for him.

Daury and Joran took Natalee Holloway to a boat at the pier near the Marriot, and placed her in the boat, and out to the ocean.

Daury tells Joran to go to school the following day in order to give an air of doing normal things, Joran even goes to the casino the next day in order to be on camera.

What happened to Joran’s shoes?

Joran walked home, and threw his shoes into a well on the way home.

Joran van der Sloot says that he never told the Kalpoe brothers what really happened. I have the transcripts of the three (the Kalpoe brothers and Joran) in a patrol car after an interrogation here.
