She has also been a generous donor, often the first to respond to UNHCR appeals for emergencies and forgotten refugee crises around the world. She has donated to several field operations in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, the Balkans and the Americas.
These contributions now total in the millions.
Angelina has kept journals during several of her missions. Journals of her first four missions were published in a book, “Notes from My Travels, Visits with Refugees in Africa, Cambodia, Pakistan and Ecuador” (October 2003, Simon and Schuster).
